Autoban is an Istanbul based design studio, developing architectural and interior projects along with productdesigns that engage issues of creativity and knowledge, realism and imagination, function and culture.

Seyhan Ozdemir and Sefer Caglar established Autoban in Galata, Istanbul in 2003. The partnership has grownover the years - Efe Aydar joined the office in 2004, became Partner in 2007. A team of 35 – mostly architectsand interior designers are working on both local and international projects in Autoban's new office in Tunel,Istanbul since 2009.

The base of Autoban's interior, architecture and product design approach is formed by the main principles ofmodern architecture's terminology. This approach concentrates in progressive design resolutions with anexperimental standpoint. Developing from small scale to large scale interior environments with solid foundationsbased on architectural principles; Autoban offer inspiring experiences where spaces are not made butdiscovered.

Autoban have designed more than 300 various projects from small scale of a private home to large scale of ahigh-rise residential building. The first practices of their work were café and restaurants; whereas today theirarray of work also contains offices, retail stores, hotels and private residents. In 2006, Autoban has opened it'sfirst gallery in Istanbul showcasing the line of products, primarily designed for interior projects. In 2012,Autoban's product designs were sold across Europe, USA, Asia and Australia, in more than 50 points,manufactured by De La Espada – Spain/Portugal based British company who's in charge of production andsales worldwide.

The work of Autoban has won several international awards beginning with “Best Young Designers” byWallpaper* (2004) and “Best Newcomer” by Blueprint Magazine (2005). The list continues with many awardsgiven by different respectable organizations. Most recently, The House Hotel Bosphorus was listed in “the 101 Best Hotels in the World” by Tatler Travel Guide 2012, Suite Bed was selected as the "Best Bed" in the Wallpaper* Design Awards 2012, Domestic Design Category and Nef 04 Apartments was awarded in the “ArkiPARC 2012 Real Estate Awards”, Residential Category.

Current projects include private student housings in various parts of Istanbul, a privatehouse in Cunda Island, Ayvalık, retail stores in several different cities, and restaurant projects. The latest project of Autoban is the interior design approach of the Heydar Aliyev Airport in Baku.
